Yale G2000 35mm Backset Upvc multipoint door lock mechanism centre case gearbox. In many cases by simply replacing the gearbox you can repair the door lock mechanism. Generally speaking it is an easy job to simply unscrew the door lock gearbox and re-connect to the full length lock mechanism. The Yale G2000 door lock case allows you to use a Lever / Lever handle or a lever pad handle The pad handle is fitted outside and uses the lower spindle The lower spindle allows the door lock to be locked and un-locked but will not operate the latch (snek) on the gearbox from outside without turning the key The internal handle uses the top spindle which operates both the locks and the latch without the need to use the key. You can if you wish use the top spindle only with a matching handle both sides which is the most common use.
